Shadow Work for Witches
Heal, Release & Reclaim Your Power
True magic begins within. Shadow work is the sacred practice of exploring your inner darkness, old wounds, repressed feelings, and hidden parts of yourself, to become whole again.
What Is Shadow Work?
Shadow work is the process of meeting your “shadow self”, the parts of your psyche you've buried, denied, or ignored. These may be fears, insecurities, traumas, or forgotten dreams. Rather than banishing them, you bring them into the light, with love and curiosity.
For witches, this is powerful inner alchemy. You’re not destroying the shadow, you’re transforming it.
Why Every Witch Should Do Shadow Work
- Heal Deep Wounds: Understand emotional triggers and find closure.
- Unlock Intuition: The more self-aware you become, the stronger your spiritual gifts grow.
- Empower Your Magic: Shadow integration strengthens spellwork, protection, and personal boundaries.
Simple Shadow Work Ritual
You’ll need a candle (black or dark blue), a journal, and a quiet space.
- Light your candle and breathe deeply.
- Ask yourself: “What emotion or memory am I avoiding?”
- Free-write for 10–15 minutes without judgment.
- Close with this affirmation:
“I honor my shadows as sacred. They are teachers, not enemies.”
Do this under a Waning Moon to support release and reflection.
